Spring/Summer 2024 Edition
Another milestone is the release of the Ego-Exo4D dataset, which was the product of a multi-institution collaboration involving HCESC and UIUC along with16 other institutions as well as Meta, which provided funding for the effort. HCESC Research Engineer Bikram Boote led our contribution to this effort and is a co-author on the resulting paper. The Ego-Exo4D paper was selected for oral presentation at CVPR 2024, an honor afforded to only 3% of accepted papers.
Workshop on AI for Rural Health
The Workshop on AI for Rural Health took place at the Health Care Engineering Systems Center with invited talks from the Illinois Department of Public Health, the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, the University of Illinois Chicago, and OSF OnCall Digital Health of OSF HealthCare.

The 7th AI + Health Summit: Healthy Aging of Brain and Mind with AI took place at the Discovery Partners Institute in Chicago. The event was chaired by Professor Lav R. Varshney University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, Ph.D., Professor David Liebovitz, M.D., Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine and organized by George Heintz, Director Health Data Analytics, HCESC.
