Behavior Research Lab Manager

The Behavior Research Lab is seeking a Lab Manager to support the planning and execution of our behavioral research efforts as it pertains to the collection and annotation of behavioral data, and also to oversee the day to day operations of the lab. This is a critical role that supports our impactful work at the intersection of AI and behavioral science. The Lab Manager will oversee human subjects research activities including running behavioral studies, recruiting and managing participants, submitting and managing IRBs and DUAs, organizing and annotating behavioral data, and all other aspects. The Lab Manager will be at the center of a multi-disciplinary research environment, working alongside AI researchers and behavioral scientists to advance the development of AI tools for behavioral analysis and their applications in developmental science. The lab supports close collaborations with the departments of special educationpsychology, and speech and hearing science at UIUC, and is committed to leveraging AI advances to improve outcomes in a broad range of developmental conditions, including autism, intellectual disability, and other areas. The position is funded by an endowment and is not tied to individual research grants.
